On November 1, the Okayama University International Alumni Association (OUIAA) held its 14th general meeting in a hybrid format.
The meeting was attended by members from around the world, including the chairperson of the OUIAA, Ms. Guo Yanping. From Okayama University, President NASU Yasutomo, who is an advisor to the OUIAA, Vice President for International Affairs and Alumni SUZUKI Takayoshi, and Executive Director for Academic Affairs SUGA Seiji, were also present.
In her opening remarks, Ms. Guo introduced the activities of alumni and the branches, expressing hopes for further strengthening the collaboration between Okayama University and the branches.
Following the opening, reports on activities from overseas branches, an introduction OUIAA’s activities from a student staff, and an update on the latest developments at the university. The meeting provided a warm and engaging time for approximately 30 alumni who participated online from both Japan and abroad.
Now in its 13th year, the OUIAA has 55 branches (including 7 communication bases) in 28 countries, with about 1,100 members. OUIAA aims to continue strengthening the exchange and bonds between the university and alumni, promoting the recruitment of outstanding international students, facilitating student exchange programs, and fostering future exchanges between faculty members. Leveraging its robust network, the association will continue its activities.
