On June 8-9, the 49th Chugoku Universities Boxing Spring Tournament was held at Hiroshima Shudo University, and Okayama University's Boxing Club secured second place! Seven universities from the Chugoku-Shikoku region participated with a total of 24 contestants, resulting in intense competition. Okayama University's team thrilled the audience with the following results: HAYASHI Kanta (3rd year, School of Economics) won the Flyweight division, TSUJI Ruka (2nd year, School of Engineering) won the Bantamweight division, and ONO Hiroto (2nd year, School of Science) placed second in the Lightweight division. SASAKI Masaya (2nd year, Faculty of Law) took third in the Light Welterweight division.

Reflecting on the tournament, Captain Hayashi, who won in the Flyweight division, expressed gratitude: "Firstly, I am thankful to everyone who contributed to ensuring all athletes could participate safely in the tournament. While I am pleased with our good results in this tournament, there is still room for improvement. I will not be satisfied with the current situation and aim to reach even higher goals."
