On July 1, Vice President Wei Min and others from Northeast Normal University in China visited Okayama University to pay a courtesy call to Executive Director for Academic Affairs and Senior Vice President SUGA Seiji. Vice President for International Affairs and Alumni SUZUKI Takayoshi represented Okayama University, along with Professor KUWABARA Toshinori from the Faculty of Education, and TAMURA Megumi, Director of the International Affairs Division of the International Department.

Vice President Wei and his delegation visited Japan to inspect activities such as the "Okayama University Graduate School of Education Exchange Program for Graduate Students from Northeast Normal University," scheduled from July 1 to 12 at Okayama University's Graduate School of Education. In this program, 16 graduate students from Northeast Normal University will study alongside students from Okayama University Graduate School of Education to deepen their understanding of educational practice and research.

During the courtesy call, Executive Director Suga introduced the achievements of the exchange between Okayama University and Northeast Normal University, as well as the distinctive features of Okayama University. Vice President Suzuki explained about Okayama University's Changchun Office at Northeast Normal University and the educational programs being implemented there. Vice President Wei expressed his views on further exchanges between two universities, particularly regarding future student exchanges.

Okayama University and Northeast Normal University signed an inter-university agreement in October 1986 and will celebrate the 40th anniversary of their exchange in 2026. Okayama University will continue to strengthen collaboration with overseas universities and promote internationalization.
