Vice President FU Yuegang and his delegation from Changchun University of Science and Technology (CUST) in China visited Okayama University and paid a courtesy visit to Senior Vice President and Executive Director for Academic Affairs SUGA Seiji on May 28. Vice President for International Affairs and Alumni SUZUKI Takayoshi and others attended the visit.

During the visit, Executive Director Suga introduced the achievements of exchange between Okayama University and CUST, highlighting the unique characteristics of Okayama University. Vice President Fu noted that an international student accepted by Okayama University is now working as a faculty member at CUST after completing the study, and shared opinions on future student exchanges.

Prior to meeting Executive Director Suga, Vice President Fu and his delegation visited Professor YOKOHIRA　Tokumi, Dean of the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering in Health Sciences, and toured the research laboratory of Professor Jiajia Yang from the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering in Health Systems.

Okayama University and CUST signed a university-level agreement in August 2012. Further exchanges are expected to take place as a result of this visit.
