The Discovery Program for Global Learners Holds 2024 Admissions Information Session

June 18, 2024

On June 15, the Discovery Program for Global Learners (GDP) held an online admissions information session. A total of 80 high school students, parents, and high school teachers from both Japan and abroad participated in the event.

During the information session, the program faculty gave a general explanation of the program and its admissions process. Then, participants were divided into small groups for a Q&A session with the program faculty. The session was a great success, with many participants coming prepared to actively ask questions about the admissions process, curriculum, and student life.

GDP is an international program established in October 2017 where students from all over the world, including returnees and the graduates from high schools in Japan come together to learn by taking courses from a wide variety of academic fields while sharing their diverse cultures and experiences. The program aims to nurture students to be active on the global stage by encouraging them to design a unique program of study that emphasizes interdisciplinary coursework, rigorous academic training which culminate in a senior project, and sensibilities and skills acquired through liberal arts education.
