本校于10月1日秋季入学式在创立五十周年纪念馆举行，新入学的全球发现项目学生27人和研究生129人开始了大学生活。
　入学式上那须保友校长用英语致辞「Today you are standing at a new gateway in your academic and life career. Step ahead and challenge yourself to create a new path. We are here with you to support you!（今天，大家站在学业和人生职业生涯的新入口。请迈出一步，为开辟新道路而挑战。我们支持奋勇拼搏的各位）“。
